General warning
Exacerbation of gout
Relapse of gout may occur after the start of treatment due to changes in serum uric acid levels. Stop treatment until the symptoms disappear completely. In this case, prevention of exacerbation of gout with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or colchicine should begin for up to 6 months.
Cardiovascular event
This drug is not recommended for patients with coronary artery disease due to the risk of cardiovascular thromboembolic events such as myocardial infarction and stroke.
Liver dysfunction
This drug is known to cause liver failure. Get a baseline liver function test before starting treatment. Treatment should be discontinued if levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) exceed the reference range more than three times.
Renal dysfunction
It should be used with caution in patients with severe renal dysfunction (CrCl <30 ml / min).
Asymptomatic hyperuricemia
This drug is not recommended for patients with asymptomatic hyperuricemia.
